"A midnight visit to A&E dept via ambulance. The paramedics were fantastic and went above and beyond during the wait to get into A&E. Hospital staff also so nice friendly and efficient and doctor very thorough and caring. Only the ambulance was not allowed to take myself and a frail 89 year old lady home after being discharged. Had to get a taxi which was traumatic at 4am in the morning."

"The ward teams are phenomenal, There seems to be zero empathy or knowledge within the A&E nurses. Also they have zero support available if suffering with mental health. Please reach out through your GP for assistance with mental health. Southmead hospital is broken badly as a patient that has been in there more regularly than most in a lifetime. It is not a political issue or money it is and has been extremely poorly managed. They used to do better with a lot less and In wartime buildings"
"I recently spent 10 days in ward 7B. The care I received was excellent from both the medical staff, and the more domestic staff. Despite some staff shortages and the exceptional heat the staff were efficient, helpful and very kind. The room was good, and air-conditioned. And the food was surprisingly good as well!. Thankyou to all that cared for me. Sue Marshall .during my stay"
