"Amazing quick service. Ordered a mechanical pencil sharpener at 2pm, arrived the following morning. I only live a few miles away, but that was brilliant. Thank you very much."
"Great local supplier. Staff always helpful and know what they are talking about. If not in stock they can usually get product next day."
"Years ago, before mobile phones were common place I was visiting a friend, Paul, in Bristol. I still recall to this day the beauty of that weekend - beautiful golden sunshine and a crisp breeze with clear blue skies. My friend an I were in town and decided to stop for lunch in a little cafe on park street where we sat down near 2 beautiful young ladies. We mustered our courage and sparked up a conversation with the 2 girls near us as most young men would. Looking back it was probably the most awkward conversation of my life, but it didnt matter to me then as that was my first conversation with Sarah. Sarah was perfect. Everything about her was amazing, he lover for nature, her beautiful strawberry blonde haire, those freckles, that giggle she made when I cracked dumb jokes. It wasn't just superficial though, she was bright and as whitty as can be - studying to be a vet at univerity! I was smitten. We spent the entire day together and hit the bars that night. It was bliss. Part way through the night whilst we were chatting when I asked for her number. She seemed keen to oblige but neither of us had a pen. I looked around and saw this guy behind me - looked friendly enough, so I tapped him on the shoulder and asked him if he had anything I could write with. He looked at me as if contemplating my question for a moment, then replied "ok" and punched me in the face. I woke up 3 days later in hospital not knowing where I was. It was pretty scary. A nurse later explained to me that I should lie very still as I had cracked my head in a fall after getting in a bar fight. It all came rushing back. The big guy... and... SARAH! Where was Sarah!?! Later that night Paul arrived to check on me. He explained to me what had happened: The guy, confused by the noise of the bar had thought I had said "do you have anything to fight with" and took it as a challenge, punched me and I fell into a table, cracking my skull. I asked Paul about Sarah and the girl he was chatting to. He had not hit it off with his new friend as well as I had with Sarah and neglected to get her number. I was devistated. I had weeks of recovery ahead of me and to make matters worse, I had since been moved to a different hospital and since Sarah was not direct family, the hospital was not legally allowed to tell her where I had been moved to. I had lost the girl of my dreams. Times have been tough since then. I've been in relationships, heck even married once, but honestly nothing can compare to those feelings I had for Sarah and as a result, all my romances and relationships have been built on cracked foundations, serving only to crumble and fall apart. Years later I moved to Bristol. I actually bumped into Sarah one day working as a receptionist. It took a while to recognise her, she just looks so different. The spark and drive she once held has left her eyes and youth has faded from her face. We chatted and it was good to catch up, but it seemed she had not faired well after that incident either. It turned out that she was distraught by the situation, blaming herself for my skull getting cracked and worrying that I would think she had abandoned me. She masked her pain with alcohol, but it managed to take over her life. She dropped out of university and made several questionable life decisions, resulting in her life (her words) taking a very negative spiral. I still see her from time to time and always smile and wave hello, wondering how different our lives would have been had we have found a way to make it work, but she is no longer that beautiful, exciting, driven young girl I met all those years ago, now she is a shell of that and I dont think I have faired much better since then. And to think that all of this could have been avoided if I just had a pen on that fateful night... So I hope dear reader you will understand where I am coming from when I say that I know first hand that stationary IS important. I also know first hand that Elworthy is definately one of the better places to go for your stationary needs. I'd give it a perfect 5/7."
"The service provided by the woman working in the shop was very friendly, patient and helpful when I came in with an elderly gentleman who wanted to buy a filing cabinet. Thank you."
"Great service, quality products and easy to use. Website is simple to navigate or if you prefer a more personal approach just pick up the phone and call, efficient, courteous and polite. Next day delivery is brilliant for my business. Elworthy are always competitive on price. Will be using again."
