"Love, love, love Raft furniture. I bought a Loft couch/bed this year and it is the best couch I have ever owned. The shop in Bristol is brilliant, the staff so helpful. I asked for a plastic free delivery, I have a granddaughter who would like a greener future, and they delivered in sofa bags, the kind used when moving house. No other British made sofa company cared enough about the environment to even consider this basic request. Thanks Alex for that first consultation where you listened and took me seriously, I nearly cried I had been searching for so long. "Furniture - Beautiful – this really was one of my favorite stores. I pretty much had plans to furnish my whole house from here. Customer service in Bristol – terrible – won’t ever shop with them again. Ordered a sofa on 5th January 2019. The sofa was delivered to us on 18th February. We contacted the store with two issues: 1. All the feet on the sofa do not touch the floor at the same time. The front leg to the right of the sofa as you sit on it, or the left of the sofa as you look at it is raised off the floor – it appears the frame of the sofa is bent upwards at this corner. 2. The left arm as you sit on the sofa, or right arm as you look at the sofa is loose and wobbles. This results in a creaking sound every time you sit or move position on this side of the sofa. After many calls Alex reluctantly came to view the sofa on 20th February 2019 and saw the problems, but insisted on sending someone else to us on the 5th March The company Castelan (not independent, but Raft’s insurers) agreed with the above statements. On the 12th March after seeking legal advice, and incurring more costs, we wrote to raft asking that they replacement the sofa or they collect the item and provide a full refund. Raft felt that selling us a broken sofa and then sending someone to ‘fix’ it was a suitable way forwards. We did not. Several phone calls later Raft agreed to replace the sofa. Yesterday the replacement finally arrived. Over 5 months later, we finally have what we ordered – no apology, in fact no one from Raft has even contacted us to followed this up with us. They didn’t instigate contact at any stage, we had to push and chase them throughout this entire process. No apology for all the time I had to take off work, or the costs i incurred, or the stress this has cause. nothing!"

"Stumbled across this shop in Clifton without realizing what a spectacular treasure I would find. I've paid my deposit yesterday and have obviously not received my custom built sofa yet but felt so positive about my experience that I wanted to let other people know. I was a little worried as the shop is new to me but business friends of mine on the same road say the shop has been there sometime. I have been in and out of the shop several times to carry out several "comfort tests" and taken my partner in as she needs to have the final say, as a graduate in textile and design she was very impressed with the quality of the material. We have a very specific size for our corner unit as we want to maximize on our space. The team at Raft offer alterations to there range for a small extra charge which will give us a one off bespoke sofa, with a great guarantee and the price is somewhere between an "off the shelf" modular sofa from Next and one we where looking at in Furniture Village. The final and in my opinion the best part of my experience was the friendly and "non pushy" attitude of the staff in the shop. I felt supported and welcomed even though I made it quite clear on my 1st visit that I was carrying out a recce of all the major and independent furniture retailers in the Bristol area. After doing that I quickly returned to Raft and really drilled down into the product range, sizes and styles. I have now placed my order and cant wait to see the finished item. There are some beautiful items of furniture in the shop and I will defiantly be back, matching pair of welsh dressers next I think."
