"Worse than useless. Once they have your booking they couldn’t care less. Literally will just ignore your requests, be that by phone or email. Week after week. Promises to call back never kept. Staggeringly rude to ignore customers in this way. Genuinely never experienced service (or lack of) like it, ever! Only the person who does your initial booking can deal with any queries (so they say) so forget making changes, upgrades etc. I dare say not all staff members are as lacking in the customer service department as Caroline is but anyone reading this before going in would do well to avoid this person, if you expect any standard of service that is. Very pleasant to deal with when booking so a shame it’s all downhill after that. They will also change your flights, time and airline, after telling you the dates and times, then expect you to pay hundreds of pounds to change back to the original times/airline you were told at time of booking. Makes me wonder, if they can’t handle the basics, what a mess they could make of the complicated. Avoid!"

"Came in on Saturday half an our before closing time to get a quote for booking Dinseyland Pairs. I was asked immediately would I be making the booking there and then. I said no likely tomorrow as I would confirm everything with my wife who was not with me. She said and I quote " well I wont be putting any effort into this as prices change every day" . Obviously seen my face and then said she was not being cheeky but there was no point as prices move. I said that I was looking for an idea of costs and that I was not holding them to anything. When asked where I wanted to stay Tara then told asked me why did I want to stay in disney? I said that's what we liked and that we were DVC members and had small kids. She then told me she had went last year and stayed elsewhere and it was better cause they had a pool and was easy to travel. I said both disney hotels I was quoting also had pools and thats what we wanted. She then said I just dont understand why. Other staff were at this point looking very uncomfortable. I got the quotes and left. I the next morning booked with TUI who were great to deal with and was done and paid within 20 mins. I see Barrhead have zero tolerance things on the computers which I though was weird as surly people are happy booking holidays. I now think that its maybe on the wrong side and should be for the staff. I cant remember the last time I had service comparable to this and being this annoyed. Trying to complain is also not easy .... no email contact and phones just ring out.... warning signs for me also and glas I went elsewhere. Terrible experience and no matter prices etc I will never book anything in the future with Barrhead."

"Booked my cruise through Barrhead and it went brilliantlu but webhad issues with other parts of our holiday that surrounded the cruise eg transfers & overnight city stays. I'm now waiting on the result of my email, with all business, it's not always the problem created but how they deal with it."

"We booked our honeymoon to 2 years ago and have had to change destination twice due to covid, despite losing my initial deposit I decided to stay with Barrhead which turned out to be a huge mistake. Terrible service and completely disinterested after we initially booked. Never heard anything from them and had to contact to get tickets, when asking advice on travel zero effort was given and also horrible advice given in regards to booking our seats. We were confidently advised to wait for the 24hr check in to choose our seats now there are only 2 left together on the whole flight right next to the toilet and its £66 per seat just to book those so to say I'm disappointed is an understatement. I feel like a fool for trusting them. All other advice we asked for we were told they would get back to us via phone or email and not once was this followed up. 6k spent on a holiday and they couldn't care less about us. Disgraceful, disgusting service, what was the point of even using them when I could have saved myself the stress and just booked online????? I will never set foot in another Barrhead and will be actively telling people to avoid them."
