"The shop were friendly and helpful however I had a bad experience with the repairman they sent to fix a handle on my oven. Whilst he was here « fixing it » (bodging a different part onto the glass) the glass exploded. Whilst I gather that old glass will go sometimes what was not ok was how he was unapologetic and stood around my kitchen in the way whilst I had to ask him to move so I could sweep etc which made me just feel really embarrassed and uncomfortable. I was not looking forward to paying £ to get the oven back to the state it had been in before I asked for a repair. And I didnt really want this repairman back in my home as I had felt very uncomfortable with him. My husband has been off work with cancer and that mean’t I put off the repair. After months of no oven I went to the shop to just feedback what had happened and they kindly offered to cover the repairman’s fee if I ordered the glass. I ordered a new part, paid for it and messaged the repairman to come and fit it. When I reminded the repairman about the waived fee when booking him to fit the new door he told me I was mistaken. When I tried to remind him why the shop had said they would pay, he told me he wouldn’t argue with me and stopped responding to my messages. A better response would have been him saying he wasn’t sure and checking with the shop. I don’t quite know how to review the shop as the repairman works for himself - but I did speak to the shop about what happened and they seemed to say it was my word against his. So I can only share how I experienced this. I ended up googling the manual, drilling a part that didn’t quite line up with the old part and fitting the new door myself and repairing the handle in a much less dodgy looking bodge (he had put a big plate in there which obviously ruined the tension in the glass when it was heated up). Glad it is repaired now however I still ended up paying for a door I didn’t need before I booked the repair, going months without an oven and being gasslit (haha pun). I don’t feel I can’t put anything other than 1 star given the outcome!"
"Very good and fitted on time recommend them good price good service and polite staff will be back to shop again I love my new cooker thanks"
"My family have used this company for years and recommend to others. Our washing machine broke down on a Sunday. We went to the shop on Monday, and a new one was fitted first thing on Tuesday. Yes, we could have got the washing machine cheaper from Currys or AO, but the EDA price includes the fitting, disposal of old washing machine and packaging, plus it was next day; when that was factored in, EDA were cheaper overall. Plus it is a local business, with great product knowledge, who provide reliable products."
"Really helpful when my fridge/freezer broke the day before jubilee Bank holiday. Advice given over the phone and new fridge/freezer delivered today. The men who delivered were very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly and went above and beyond to fit it for me. Very reasonable price too which is very refreshing during the current climate."
"Fantastic service, the owner gave me good advice about my integrated cooker on the phone. Value for money, got a good quality new cooker, delivered, fitted and old one taken away for £400. Much cheaper then buying from any of the larger companies I’ve checked online. Engineer that fitted it arrived on time and was very professional, would definitely recommend."
