"Decent for the price, at least in comparison with other offers in the city. The bathroom could have been better, though. Close to the Glasgow school of art, where due to the fire many streets are closed right now. A bit out of the main downtown street, but still a good walkable distance of about 15 minutes."
"Sadly this place did not meet my expectations of a Scottish Youth Hostel. My room had not been cleaned and had half-eaten food and rubbish in it. It was disgusting and turned my stomach. I was given another room which was adequate but unfortunately student halls of residence still retain something of the same aroma and unkempt atmosphere even during the holidays. I felt like I was going back in time 30 years... Having said all this I got a good night's sleep, the shower was pleasant and the hostel is well-situated. It's just that, usually, staying at a Scottish Youth Hostel is a pleasure in itself, but this wasn't."
"The room is ok but the bathroom has no lights at all! The receptionists wasn't exactly polite. However the main problem is that they find a way to charge you for anything! They have and extra charge for parking in the facilities (even though there is no information about in the site and all other things you have to pay are highlighted) and its prohibited to park in the nearby streets. The towels are also not included and you have to pay a fee to rent them (also not informed in the site)!"
"Not the best location as it is slightly off the beaten path but still only 10-20 minute walk from most things. Rooms were plain but spacious. Single bed only. Not like a normal hostel with a large common space, but every few rooms shares a kitchen and lounge area which was nice. Walls are thin and doors bang loudly. Also hot in the rooms on warm days. Would recommend if you just need a place to stay and not much more. Definitely worth the price. As other reviews have stated it is up a hill, but it's not that steep and only a couple blocks up."
"Pretty great hostel for a good quiet night. Rooms are one bed each, allowing for more privacy and quiet than most hostels. Bathrooms are clean, kitchens are well stocked, internet is fast, and it's close to the center of Glasgow. Staff is very friendly. One downside is that it's a bit hard to meet people since there's no real communal room."
