"We stayed at the Revolver during a layover in Glasgow. We found the hotel very central and close to the nightlife. That said, our stay was terrible. We had bed bugs in our room, the bathroom was not clean, and we could not sleep at all even with earplugs. The guests in the neighboring room were smoking and playing loud music until 5am. We couldn’t breathe and there was constant door banging and shouting that we couldn’t get a proper shuteye. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone after a long flight. In retrospect we should have gone out and browse the city instead of trying to sleep."
"Was worried at first but it turned out so good experience!!So convenient location, can get everything within walkable distance! Really modern and detailed decoration! Staff very nice and helpful! Room really clean and plenty of toilets and shower! The app also helped me find food around;) Bit noisy on Saturday night but not that bad. Would come back with friends."
"Stayed at this hostel for one night, location is convenient to downtown, however it gets pretty noisy late at night with all the partying music around, making it a bit hard to get good sleep. No room rules like quiet times, seems like most people who stay here are looking to go out and come back late, so lots of walking in and out to add additional noise in the rooms. hostel itself looks nice, beds are decent, the lockers are pretty much useless... barely any was accessible, apparently they can't reset the card tag for the locks unless all lockers are not in use, but there are storage box below if you have your own padlock. Bathrooms are very limited given the amount of rooms on the floor and the showers are small - shower water also is a start and timed thing, so when you press the button for water, it comes out for about 30 seconds or so, and you have to just press the button again if you want more water."
"Great place that I would return to when visiting Glasgow. The hotel atmosphere was enjoyable and didn't feel like a normal hotel. The lights music and overall vibe was very relaxing and cool. We had an issue with what the booking site (Not Revolver) had advertised and what we got. Alex was great trying to solve the issue the night of and escalating it to her manager the next day. Alex really was awesome the entire stay she even made sure to check up on us when she returned a few days later to see if we're taken care of and that our stay was what we expected. She really is amazing. I didn't give service a full 5 stars because it was hit or miss with the staff some were really great and some have room for improvement. The location is great with clubs and shops all around. The hotel is above a club and on the first floor we could slightly hear/feel the music at night but it was great background noise and didn't bother us. Protip: They do have a laundry room however there were only 2 washers and 2 dryers that the staff uses as well. And you will need 4 pounds to do a load but they are cashless so come with coins/pounds."
"There is a lot of good ideas in this hotel: the pods in the dorms are offering a very good privacy, they are quite spacious and the beds are super comfortable. USB plugs and bed lights provided for each pods are very convenient, such as the bathrooms. BUT The reason why I'm giving only 3 stars is the music that the hotel is broadcasting all day long from 8am to at least 11pm... It's great to have some music at the reception, but they also put the speakers in the corridors so it's really loud in the rooms... Not good when you want to sleep early, especially for a dorm in a bed which is quite overpriced, even for Scotland"
