"Good location and lovely staffs, good food in the restaurant. And very convenient public car park with discounted charges. A small fitness room but adequate for using during a leisure trip. Our first staying was 3m ago with a good experience so we chose to stay here again. However my second staying was very disappointing. I can only give 5 scores out of 10 for my second staying is because of 3 reasons. Firstly, I booked a large double room however got a room with a double bed and single bed. Why do I need that single bed to narrow down corridor area in the room? In addition, the mugs are dirty with coffee/tea stains…… I am assuming they haven’t been washed since last persons staying? Moreover, we have got the access to the first floor and used the gym at night, a guy dressed like a member of staff of the hotel kicked into the gym room with a rude and judging face, staring at us without saying a word, even we friendly said hi to him. He took out his phone pretending doing something on the mirror and ‘monitoring’ us for couple of minutes, then left. Very suspicious and bizarre."
"It was my first time staying in this hotel in Glasgow. It is quite a nice hotel to be honest. Good level of service. Good location and near the square and shops and even nearby a cinema which was a plus for me. Rooms were clean and tidy as well. It’s quite a nice building as well and looks new and well maintained. I also liked the fact the room had a safe with a key code. No key required like some other hotels I’ve stayed and they charge extra as well so this was a definite plus. No fridge though but that’s not essential for me anyway but a nice to have. You also get a iron and an ironing board which is handy. Nice walk in shower as well. Room was spacious and enough for me. The only thing I would fault is the breakfast. Open times are between 6:30 till 10am which is good but when I arrived at around 8am there did not seem to be a lot of variety available and very little on display. Some of the plates were not clean either and some plates had dried egg from the previous day. I know it’s a dish washer that cleans the plates but still. One more thing. I always check the cutlery before I sit down in any eating place and the knives had fingerprints. If this was a restaurant I would have walked out at this point but I already paid for my breakfast. This tell me the staff are putting the cutlery on tables in the wrong way. Not a massive thing for some I know and it’s the same everywhere you go in the UK, even London but this is a four star hotel. standards are important. A lack of standards usually indicates a place could be better run as a business. In this case basic training on hygiene and lack of suitable training of staff which is a failure of management. It just doesn’t give a good impression to be honest. I guess Covid has taught us nothing. I still rate the hotel four stars overall as the negative remark from me can be easily rectified which is why I mentioned it in my review."
"Check in staff wasn’t friendly. Breakfast staff friendly and attentive. Small rooms to what I am used to. Clean and comfy beds. NO mini fridge in room?? First time my life. For a 4 star hotel it’s certainly below expectations."
"Ideally placed in the City, car park only 5 minutes walk away. Online booking in and out makes life even simpler. Good and popular bar area, good choice of drinks. Friendly staff, reception very helpful. Nice dining room, had two course meal at very reasonable price. Food well presented and tasted good. Typical busy City hotel which gave a nice vibe, but very quiet at night (obviously well sound proofed). Will use again."
"Honestly one of the best hotels in Glasgow. Not just because the room was clean and nice, but the staffs were truly amazing. The staff in the reception (a woman who told me was originally from Moldova) was extremely kind and sweet. Cleaning ladies on the sixth floor were lovely, kind and polite. Really appreciate this experience."
