"I was shocked at the attitude of one of the bar staff the woman called Hayley I believe, all the other staff were fine, but her attitude was awful and aggressive when she was having trouble communicating with my partner. Yes it’s loud, but if you can’t handle it in a respectful manner you should really consider changing your profession! If anyone with a disability came here I don’t think they would feel welcome. Been here several times over the years and it’s been fine but I was shocked by this behaviour. Appalling."
"I attend every few months or so. I have to admit on a Wednesday the karaoke is amazing and Dahlia always makes you feel very welcome. I have always felt safe, loved and respected at the Village Inn, Birmingham."
"Such ashame. Disabled toilets were out of order. So no good for anyone, like myself who needed to use them. The normal toilets were flooded with wee on the floor. Definitely no toilet checks were carried out. Also while in the cubicle, the entire toilets went dark, couldn't see myself around. Blatant health and safety risk. Apparently the toilet lights are on a motion sensor. That's No Good d To Disabled person, who's in a Cubicle Is it. Seriously needs addressing."
"So before entering the bar the bouncers checked my bag as the always do and should do, found a pink gin set which I had with me because it was given to me earlier as a "secret" santa gift. It was totally acceptable, I'm fully aware that you can not bring your own drinks at the bar. The bouncer told me that I am going to have it back. At the end of the night as we were leaving, I explained to bouncers what happened earlier and asked them where would it be kept. They didn't know and asked me to try asking the bar staff. I did ask all the bar staff but said they have no idea what I am on about, never saw a little pink gin set fso the can't help. Anyway all in all not a bad place just really upset about the gift that I never got back."
"Went for Karaoke night on Wednesday and the weekly Titans drag competition on Thursday. Performances are advertised as starting at 10 PM, but usually starts around 10.30 PM or 11 PM, depending on crowd. Drinks are affordable. Place feels safe as guests are reminded to remain respectful towards drag queens."
