"Awful! Ordered a outdoor table, chair and parasol set. When we finally received the items after waiting several weeks for delivery the box was taped up where it was all ripped and every chair was scratched, the table was scratched and the parasol was missing! When we spoke to them they said instead of replacing the Damaged items Would we accept a 10% refund. Umm no!! Finally a figure was agreed on but still. Missing parasol was promised to be out on the next day delivery, but a week later we have just received an email to say they have none to send us! Joke of a company!! Avoid!!"
"Customer services terrible. I paid for next day delivery. I was emailed that my item would arrive the following Friday 8 days away. I emailed and was told this was a mistake. It would arrive on the Wednesday, which was 6 days later. I was told that because of bank holiday that this would be the next day delivery. I totally understand that they were not delivering on the bank holiday but don’t expect me to pay £10 for next day delivery. Six days is certainly not the next day and I told them I understand and could I please have a refund of my next day delivery postage and pay the normal delivery price. I was meet with a very rude man that told me know. They would not give extra postage I’d payed. I would not recommend as the customer service is shocking"
"I've dealt with Gardens & Homes Direct for a few years now and have always found them reasonable, helpful and good value. I have just recently erected a gazebo I purchased from the company last year (at a substantial discount due to a faulty one). While erecting it part of the fabric of the canopy ripped. I contacted Gardens & Homes Direct again and received a replacement canopy free of charge within a few days. Excellent service!"
"I cannot stress enough - if you are going to purchase through this company, do so using PayPal so you are protected. I ordered garden furniture at the beginning of May and it was delivered faulty. My partner took a day off work for it to be collected - complete waste of time as nobody turned up. Two further days the furniture has been left in a safe place for "guarenteed collection"...it's still there now! They claim they can't give me a refund until it's collected, despite the wasted days off work and complete inconvenience. Guys in the call centre are absolutely no help whatsoever - don't waste your time with this company. £250 down and they couldn't care less. I've now had to open a dispute on PayPal in the hope something finally gets done, and if it doesn't, hopefully PayPal will issue me with a refund."
"my 15 year old daughter ordered a dog bed for our pet with her own money, due to a website glitch the order went through twice and she was charged twice, on top of this the item was not able to be fulfilled and she has waited over three weeks for a refund, she has tried to be mature and resolve this herself but this company seems reluctant to hand back a childs money even though cannot fulfil the order. I have had to step in and contact the company and literally fight to get this resolved. the "best" they can do is try to arrange a refund having to wait another 3-5 days! No offer of anything further as a gesture of goodwill, they would not allow me the email of someone senior to express my concerns and annoyance and merely try to fob off with customer service. I 100% believe that if i hadn't intervened my daughter would never have got her money back and that they would have no concerns about taking money from a child with no intentions of providing the goods... shocking!"
