Reviews
"Had a 2 seater settee which was in very good condition apart from a pull mark which you could not even see because cushions hid it. Took a day off work for the collection, the 2 Guys collecting had to take a picture of the mark and send it to shop. They refused it! They could have easily sold this for at least £50.00. The last time I give anything to this greedy charity and will advise others against it too."
"A few years ago, I was sold a fridge that swiftly broke down (it was described to me as "new") that they wouldn't accept on warranty at the time, and much more recently I was sold a wall unit and dresser with a sketchy door and loose handles, also in miserable condition for "new" items. I believe the lady I dealt with on both occasions misrepresented the condition of the items. This review is of this store, and not the BHF overall - the other stores are lovely. Edit: The ensuing court case was decided in my favour. There's something awful about some unrelated gentleman being dragged halfway across the country to defend a store in court rather than the store coming clean. I felt bad for him. Funny thing was, we've both got heart problems, we would have liked to avoid sitting in that depressing lobby. Anyway, hope that lady finds god..."
"Bought a really nice sofa for a good price and delivery price was decent. Delivered the next day and delivery men were friendly and polite."
"Very expensive for the charity shop with second hand furniture, that have seen better days"
"Visited tday and must say that I'm very disappointed and disgusted by the prices there! It's called charity for a reason! But these people are just greedy! For used ,even heavily used furniture, asking price like for new one, even more expensive than a new one?! Like are they serious? Some of the chairs were like really dirty, and they be asking £300 ?! Excuse me?! Are u here to help people,or to rob their pockets? Absolutely shocking and disgusting!"
