"Been trying to get a phone appointment with a Dr for a medication review since 6th December 2022. Was told by nurse to make appointment @ desk and this was refused & I was told that only by phoning at 8am would I be able to make appointment. Have been trying since, and today success!! spoke to someone only to be told that all appointments gone this was at 8.40am and I had been holding on since 8am at which point I was 49th in line. What does one have to do to get an appointment, not everyone wants to spend time blocking A&E it’s about time this practice started doing what it is paid for."
"My son picked up the phone at 8.30 on Monday to be number 38 in the queue to ask for a review for his tablets for his mental health issues as his panic attacks have worsened and day to day activities are hard. Calling is traumatic enough and then at 9.40 you’re answered and told phone back tomorrow. There needs to be more thought around mental health and how this surgery deals with these issues. He suffers badly with anxiety and this experience makes it worse - I appreciate there’s only so many doctors available but mental health requires more support everywhere especially for the young and I expected better. Calling for help can be much more difficult for people who suffer and to have to go through it again tomorrow may be too late or too hard for some."
"The blonde receptionist is very rude on the phone and in person. From signing up and having my first appointment and she has also been very rude to my husband. One of the doctors that first called me was questioning my affordability and came across very arrogant. The nurse is lovely but the overall experience makes me not want to call or go into the doctors because they make you feel that uncomfortable!"
"The online engage service is good but takes too long for a response. Getting through to the surgery via telephone is worse can take up to 45 minutes to get to position 1. The doctors themselves are good I just think the system and service they have in place currently is quite appalling. For example I requested another doctors note on Monday and by Wednesday I'm still waiting for a copy to be sent to me and been told that it may be tomorrow when I get it - that would be 4 days to get a sick note that's a continuation."
