"Current waiting time to be seen by a clinician is 6.5hrs for children (as at Fri 9th Dec 2022). So if you really need to go, pack a bag with snacks, drinks and other essentials your child may need during this time. Receptionist and nurses are polite, professional and approachable and for that I thank you! Edited to say that nurses Sarah and Jim (I hope I got their names right) are fantastic and deserve special recognition. They made us feel very well looked after."
"Out of hours GP told us to go there with our young son who has additional needs. We were sent there at 7pm but then advised we wouldn't be seen until after 11pm. At 2am I was stood alone in a corridor and not a single person had seen our son. There wasn't another child waiting as the one before us left at 1am. We were seen at 2:40am after I became so overwhelmed by my sons meltdowns that I actually cried. The receptionist was rude and lacked empathy. We have to return tomorrow anyway as the prescription isn't in stock so it was an absolute waste of time as we could have gone to the usual GP. We were also told that only one parent could attend by the receptionist and my partner was sent away however the waiting room was full of couples and families so that rule obviously only applies when it suits. AVOID."
"Refered here by 111. Told to arrive within the hour due to chest pains amd tightness and pain/numbness in left arm. Waited over 2 hours to see a triage nurse to be told to wait to see a GP. Over 3 hours to see a GP. For chest pains and numbness in an extremity. Worst NHS service ever used."
"111 service referred me to Ponte Urgent Treatment Centre with suspected broken ribs. After an initial 3 hrs wait was examined by a polite young Doctor who authorised an Xray. The radiographer obligingly agreed to include a hip Xray that had been scheduled for another day. The nurses were sympathetic to my pain and quickly produced two separate reports for the Dr who explained the results which he was forwarding immediately to my GP. What a fantastic service. Thank you."
"Visited this evening with my son who broke his wrist at football training. Was warned could be a 3 hour wait. After an initial wait once we were sent to xray the service was fantastic. Really quick, friendly and reassuring thankyou to Emily ENP and to Sam who helped sort Seth out so quickly and put him at ease."
