"Been before and it was ok but not this time. Starter of scallops and meatballs, no chorizo with scallops as they had run out but still not a pleasant dish. The meatballs where warm but the sauce was cold and the cheese we requested didn't melt so it was very disappointing. Mains where lamb cutlets and a steak with prawns. The lamb cutlets were obviously frozen. Out of the 3 cutlets 2 where nice. The steak was not as asked for, it was under done as asked for medium/well and was more medium (bleeding onto plate!). Deserts where both cheesecakes the strawberry and prosecco had no biscuit base and the toffee and honey combe only a very thin biscuit base. It was a Friday night and it seemed there were only 3 staff. Two girls and what we assume the chef. We felt the service was lacking as we were sat with no drinks for long periods and dirty plates not collected. The £8 black forest cocktail was the size of a thimble and tasted of nothing! We did not wish to complain at the time as the staff are young and I didn't feel they would be able to resolve the issues we had and as I enjoyed the mains and drinks (other than the Cocktail) I didn't want to cause a fuss in there. We will never go there again! We paid a similar amount at Quattro's on the Rainford bypass and the service, food and ambience were by a country mile far superior."
"Excellent little bistro - if you can get here without driving, I would recommend the bottomless brunch. The duck bon bons are to die for!"
"First visit today for my wife and I, absolutely fabulous, excellent food and brilliant service. Sunday brunch at 11. Eggs Royale to die for. Top quality local produce and nice portion sizes. We will be back soon."
"Called in for drinks. Cocktails were excellent and the service was really friendly and efficient. Will definitely be returning for drinks again and to try the food menu."
"Wow! Two incredible meals so far. The owner is absolutely lovely, really cares about serving fabulous food and is so accommodating. The cocktails are amazing! Cannot wait to go back again!"
