"To start with the food was very nice, they can’t be faulted at that. But other than that the service definitely needs a lot of improving. The young girl who served us was not at all approachable and made it very clear she would rather be doing anything else other than serving us. We asked for cutlery and she pointed to the knives and 2 forks left by the previous table, baring in mind there was 3 of us at the table, assuming she expected us to take turns with the forks. As I said before, we enjoyed the food but would not return as the whole situation felt uncomfortable due to the lack of rapport with the staff."
"Updated 16/11/22 We followed up on Gary, the manager's, offer to rebook and give them another chance to rectify the unfortunate ' welcome' we had on 21/10/22. I can't recommend them enough. What a change from the last failed visit. The food was great as was the service. Our party of 3 enjoyed the whole afternoon spent there and won't hesitate to book again. Thank you for a lovely afternoon. I didn't even make it into the pub to eat. Myself and 2 others stopped there on 21st October just before 7pm. We hadn't booked so 1 of our party went inside to see if a table was available. It was busy but there was a reserved table available that wasn't needed for the next 2 hours . It was explained to the young female working there that I use a power wheelchair so would need 2 chairs moving so as to access the table. She refused to remove 2 chairs and repeatedly said she could only move 1. Even though I was waiting outside, I felt totally embarrassed and humiliated that, in effect, I was being denied access for the sake of 2 chairs being removed from a table."
