"Busy pub with two rooms to use. Bar maid was lovely and really helpful. Visit was spoiled by a drunk woman swearing and loudly shouting by the bar. Felt so sorry for the girl at the bar who was obviously uncomfortable."
"Decent pub. Two distinct areas. One larger, busier and more sports oriented (pool table, big screens, etc.). The other smaller, cosier and quieter. Each with its own bar and staff (usually). Only issue for me is lack of real ales and prices are towards 'top end' (c.£5 a pint, c.£12 for pint and a large wine)"
"Come here most days, staff always friendly and great value for money. Would highly recommend for a good pint."
"Came here on Friday night after the Tranmere game. I bought my daughter and her boyfriend, my other daughters boyfriend and his mate. We got drinks at the bar and sat in one of the booths. The two older lads were playing pool and we kept ourselves to ourselves. My older daughter then joined us and just wanted a lime and soda aa she was driving. She was asked rather rudely for ID at the bar, at this point her boyfriend arrived at the bar to pay for her drink and was agressively asked for ID, they are both 19 and pointed out that they were buying a non alcoholic drink. At this point a female customer (with dyed red hair and cod like lips) was verbally abusive to them and accused them of saying something that they hadn't. They felt that upset and uncomfortable that they just left the pub only to be followed oit by cod lips and threatened. What was meant to be a nice night with my family was ruined by unwelcoming staff and an aggresive customer. We wont be back!"
"Back in this wonderful pub. Very friendly, reasonable prices, clean and a great traditional place. Nice to see pubs like this surviving in this climate. And as ever, we should all support our local pub."
