"I visited your store on the 7th of February, approximately around 5:30pm and dealt with your staff member that was incredibly rude and patronising. Me and my colleague went there to use the DHL service for send a package for work. We were already met with hostility when we arrived at the store and it seemed to me that he didn’t want to help us and this isn’t the first time this has happened with this particular staff member. He told us he couldn’t help because of lack of staff but there were 2 staff members working on the shop floor. After much back and forth and telling us ‘of course we’re confused because we don’t understand anything’ he told us to wait 10 minutes. After waiting 10 plus minutes, he told us to come down and we told him it was for thin insoles and we already registered everything online. It’s not an understatement when I say, he was making everything very difficult for us to the point we felt prejudice. We wanted to send it with an envelope because the insoles were thin, and he previously did this. He outright refused and said he cannot send insoles in envelopes size 1, we then said he did it on 25th January at 11am and then ‘’he remembered’’ he did it to help me out and kept telling us he can’t do it and then proceeded to snap at me and told me to (DO YOU HAVE PROBLEM WHY DO YOU KEEP HUFFING AND PUFFING). His colleague had to intervene to calm down the situation whilst another customer told us that we should go to another store because he was so rude. In the end, we left as we couldn’t believe being treated this way. When I asked him name, to make a complaint, he refused to give me his name and told me ‘I don’t know who you are, why should I give you my name’ but had no problem telling us he was the manager of the store but refused to do his job. Is this the level of customer service we should expect from your staff and from a manager? Incredibly shocked to have been treated this way. This is incredibly upsetting, For reference - he is a white man, with a black beard and he had a hat on. Please explain why he only treated us (2 black women) like this with little to no respect , before us, there was a white lady who assisted her very happy and did not have any issues providing her the DHL service."
"I visited the store on the morning of 9th October. Extremely helpful young lady helped me with various suggestions and I bought several useful items as a result, in addition to the light bulbs I had come in to purchase. Best customer service I have experienced in a long time!"
"Most of the staff is really nice, smiling , welcoming and very professional.Great choice of goods.Really nice shop.Only one young lady sales assistant is always grim , snappy and unhappy. Makes you wanna to go and never come back."
"2 young members of staff helped me with my coffee press purchase. They were knowledgeable about the coffee presses and the replacement glass inserts and were cheerful and engaged. I’ll be back!"
"They fit a lot in here, and it's well-priced. Great shop to have around. As for the other reviews about staff, I haven't had any issues, but would suggest those sensitive to perceived emotions make an effort to engage positively in the first place..."
