"Washing machine installed on Wednesday; that night, downstairs neighbour came home from work to find water coming through his kitchen ceiling, which is under my kitchen, which is where the washing machine is. When we eventually found the problem, which was a snapped infill pipe, Philip did not believe it could have been their fault. He said it would be a flood, not a leak. We suggested the attachment to the machine was cracked but didn't snap until later, when we pulled the washing machine out to see what was behind it. If we turned off the valve to stop water reaching the machine, the leak stopped. It can't be anything else. Their fitters pushed the washing machine too far back, cracking the fitting on the machine into which you plug the hose. He is telling us to go to our building insurers; he doesn't appear willing to sort this out, and it is definitely Top Discount's fault. This company was highly recommended by two separate friends, but I won't use them again, and fear I will end up going to Small Claims Court to get my money back."

"Have bought many items from Philip – TVs, washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, integrated fridge freezer, free-standing freezer etc. While not always price leader, they are always price relevant and will do their best to match deals elsewhere unless they are suicidal. Service before and after purchase has always been exemplary but in the middle of the recent heatwave, our integrated fridge freezer suddenly stopped working (after 11 years). Because of the replacement we chose, it was not a stock item and had to be ordered. Philip arranged for the loan of a fridge which was delivered, installed and then collected all at no extra charge. John Lewis might be the gold standard for brown and white goods in terms of pricing and customer service but if that’s the case, then Philip and the Top Discount team are the platinums. Superb service as usual – thank you to all the team. We have recommended Top Discount over the years unconditionally and will continue to do so"

"Further update.... new condenser tumble dryer installed this week from Top Discount - fitted into utility unit and they even willingly connected the 'drain out' pipe so no more heavy water trays having to be lifted out and emptied - no more water running down my arm and dripping across the floor!
