"Formby branch. Great local shop that prices matches. Bought a Samsung 40" got home and took it home in the car. Unfortunately it had a fault right out of the box. A vertical line right down the middle of the screen. :( Popped back to the shop, they checked the TV apologised and replaced it straight away. These things happen now and again but it's how you deal with it that matters. They dealt with it brilliantly. It was only later that I realised the utter palaver we would have had to go through if we had gone to Amazon or Richer Sounds or or AO. A day off waiting for it to be collected then a day off waiting for it to be replaced. I highly recommend this shop."

"I wanted to purchase a DVD player that was capable of playing MP4 data from a USB device. I checked all of the usual main suppliers on the web and found a Panasonic device. The cheapest device I could find on the web was £89. My father in law who lives in South Liverpool, asked me why I hadnt tried the TV shop in Formby village; namely, Smiths TV. I have lived in Formby all my life and I think I have set foot in this shop once. I doubted very much that an electrical shop in Formby village could compete with the huge companies that operated Worldwide. I called into the shop, as I was walking through the village pushing my son in his pram, trying to get him off to sleep. Upon speaking to the staff, they advised that they had the exact same item in another shop and that they would have it in stock the following day. I was shocked when they told me it would cost £69! I thought it was a mistake and I asked them to re-check the price. They confirmed the price and the following day the item was in the store, as promised. I have been using the DVD player for a week or two now and it works perfectly. I shall think twice before I walk past a high street shop, thinking I can get a better deal on the internet, as that is clearly not always the case. As well as this, the staff at this store were excellent in terms of their customer care and technical knowledge. Thank you very much."
