"My catalytic converter was vandalised removed from my car about 3 weeks before Christmas. Initially. Some things were slow in getting my car to the the repair shop Alton Cars in Leeds. The repairer were great they got me a courtesy car as soon as one was available. I appreciated this due to Christmas,etc. Allen delivered the courtesy car and was supportive. All of the individuals at Alton were great Tracey, Allen and Graham. Thank You all! I give 5 out of 5 stars for service, support, and communication and repair Very best , Eileen Mullard"

"This garage was meant to do a 2 panel repair in July. After three weeks they called us to tell us that they hadn’t touched the vehicle. A new date was finally booked in November for completion by 8th November, this slipped to 14th November. We have just had a call to say that they dont know when the car will be finished. This company clearly has no customer focus- I cant even get my head round how its possible to fail on this scale."

"Disorganised and quite frankly rude staff. 1 estimate was just a couple of photos taken in the ‘car park’ I then waited over two weeks for very superficial scratches- metal parts needed replacing. We’re these ordered in advance 2. Clearly over booking repairs, had it cancelled and had to wait another couple of weeks 3. When I dropped my car off two ladies were there swearing at each other. Not professional but at least were nice enough to me. 4. On first attempt at collection- Two members in reception stood around discussing the days events vaguely acknowledged me whilst just saying ‘can’t help you’ the chap on the desk who I’ll assume was supposed to be there was on the phone, and when he finished took an age to even bother to say hello, just continued typing, looking up and saying ‘I’ll be with you in a minute’ is easy. Despite a call, with a voicemail, telling being told my car would be ready 24/10 went today 28/10. It wasn’t. Not even a proper apology. Just a ‘dunno why you were told that’ when I said ‘I’ll need to pick it up on a Saturday as I work in Bolton’, you apparently in two weeks stopped Saturdays with the bloke just going ‘well we can deliver it’ clearly not listening to me at all. Train your staff on customer service. You pride yourself on it, in your replies to other reviewers, who have made comments about poor customer service Can safely say I’ll never use again. If your insurer sends you here, as per other reviews ask for another garage"

"Overall really happy with the service received. Got off to a shakey start with a hire van that wasn't fit for purpose amd had an oil leak and many other problems. On returning the van I was given a really nice modern car straight away. The repair was completed 2 days earlier than expected and I was kept updated the whole way through. After having a new side door fitted and painted I was worried the colour match wouldn't be great because of painting such a big panel right in the centre of the van. But as you can see from the picture its a brilliant match. James on reception is a credit to Alton cars and was a pleasure to deal with."
