"I took my car to get an air pipe changed. After a month of waiting for the ‘back order’ part to arrive I used 2 of their courtesy cars. The first one was leaking oil so I took it back and used another car. On the way home, that car broke down! After ringing up day after day asking if they had ordered a second hand air pipe part (as these arrive quicker) they told me my car was really damp inside and they couldn’t find the fault. Next day they miraculously found the problem. I got my car back and my screen wash jets no longer work and after 2 days of driving it I have an engine warning light and will need to take it back to a garage (not this one!) would not recommend"

"I'd not used this garage before, but it was recommended to me as a good place to go. However, I'm afraid it's been a disappointing experience and I'm not now convinced it was such a good idea From the street Grove Lane Garage seems like a dirty and disorganised back street garage. The no-frills customer reception doesn’t improve that image much. Staff were friendly but the room was poky and unkempt, sported a grubby and uninviting sofa, and was generally depressing overall. When I booked the work - a standard auto gearbox oil change on my Kuga - I was told they'd not done that job before. When I delivered the car to them, I was asked why the work needed doing. The bill seemed to be similar to (or even more than) main dealer prices. Overall, and in retrospect, that doesn't instill confidence of a good job done well at a fair price, as conveyed by the garage website blurb. Unfortunately I now have a nagging feeling of having been ripped off. Perhaps I should have got some clues from my initial impressions. Perhaps I should have asked for a quote and pressed for a full explanation of the process they would follow to do the job - it's not a big job, but it does need to be done properly. I wish I was confident from my experience at Grove Lane that the work has indeed been done to spec. In retrospect, WYSIWYG and all that? Needless to say, if the gearbox starts acting up, I'll know where not to go for a repair. And I won't be going back in a hurry when next I need work doing on my motor."

"This used to be a good garage and I used them for years until I bought a new car and used a main dealer in order to maintain the warranty. In the intervening period it appears to have gone off the rails. I have tried over 20 times to contact them by phone and through the web form. I have never had a call back. On the one occasion I got through I asked for a quote and they never came back to me. Who knows how this would pan out if I actually booked my car in. This is appalling customer service. Doesn’t matter how fully booked your business, treating customers this way is not acceptable."

"If you want your car repaired and safe in the knowledge it's been done right, then this is the garage for you. I've been coming here for years, had my gear box refurbished on my Golf GTI and it's better than ever! The people here know what they are talking about and they won't rip you off, very honest people. This is the only garage to put your car into this side of Leeds, well in my eyes Yorkshire. Put your car in here and you won't be disappointed with the work done on your vehicle."
