"Have just taken car in to fix a clicking noise on my driver door, check a tyre which keeps deflating and ask about a timing belt change. Rang on Monday and was able to book car in a few days later. Door fixed and new tyre fitted at the same time. A garage I had visited for years and who I thought were reliable and trustworthy told me I should get my timing belt changed because of the car and this could be catastrophic for the engine. The cost would be a few hundred pounds so had dithered over this but thought it was time to get it done. When I took into GVS it turns out I don't even have a timing belt and it's a timing chain which should last the life of the vehicle.
