"i don't think it's any surprise that the ales/beers in here are absolutely spot on. but i just wanted to shout about the pies, too! this was one of the hot pies that they serve at the bar as opposed to something from the menu. it was absolutely gorgeous. ended-up having one with my first pint & another with my second! (steak & then chicken). really beautiful flavoursome pie, packed with fillings. a match-day essential if you're heading to elland road!"

"As I read from another review online: Great Pub, Average Grub. The Cross Keys has a lot of charm and character, with a wide variety of drink selection and tentative staff. However, our Sunday Roast was, regrettably, disappointing. All four of our meals were rather cold, and the portion sizes left a lot to be desired. One meal only came with one parsnip and a small amount of cabbage. The meat portion sizes were also small for the prices asked. Hopefully this was a one off, as this lovely pub has so much potential!"
