"Visited for the first time on Sunday and had a lovely lunch. There was a choice of 1-3 courses for Sunday lunch and all were good value for money. Service was prompt and the food was piping hot when it arrived at our table. We both had the beef Sunday lunch and were impressed with the quality of food and how fresh it tasted. Portions were generous and there was no skimping on the gravy either. Nice little gift shop to browse on the way out too. Will definitely return"

"Not particularly impressed tbh. The table was sticky, the glasses dirty, and the service was incredibly slow even though it was very very quiet. The food was good,but not worth the wait. We ordered at about 11.40am to have lunch, waited about 30mins before asking about our food to be told they didn't start serving lunch until 12 (which we would have appreciated being told beforehand) and so had only started our food 15mins ago. The food arrived at 12.20pm, 40mins after ordering. I had the chicken with mash, brocolli and mushrooms in sauce, good flavour, but the mash was both lumpy and sloppy, and the chicken was incredibly dry. The mushrooms were the highlight of the dish. The burgers were well cooked but quite bland, good portions and not dry though. The kids cheesy pasta was simple but well done. Overall, worth a try but would not come back, not worth the price when I can cook better at home."
