"I've been here today with the family for dinner. The mains were really nice, best Sunday dinner I have had eating out in a while, we all really enjoyed it. Desserts were nice, apart from the children's brownies they were just rock solid, so they didn't eat them. Other than that, we had a great experience, and we will most likely visit here again. Food was a really good price. 4 meals and 4 drinks came to £51."
"I've been a few times and always had good service. but just visited for a Sunday lunch and once seated we had to wait 40 minutes just for our drink orders and to top it of they'd ran out of beef pie and certain meats meaning we had to change our orders. Now I'm not blaming the staff for the slow service as it was obvious they were sort staffed and there was only 3 serving they never stopped working so the management needs to make sure they have enough staff to cope when it's busy and I will mention we did get a discount because of having to wait and we will still go again because overall this is a lovely friendly pub with lovely staff and tasty food."
"Great staff and a lovely atmosphere, unfortunately we waited nearly 2 hours for food and when it turned up 7 out of 11 dishes were burnt or black. Seems the chef was hungover today! Normally decent service and good food. Not today though!"
"Brilliant, friendly and professional service from Charlotte and all the team on a busy Mother’s Day, and delicious fresh food with reasonably priced drinks. Thanks for a lovely time!"
"This was my first ever visit to the Fox and Grapes and it will likely be my last. One of our party had been here before and said that the food was expensive, so I was imagining good food. However, any hopes of great home made pub food were dashed the moment the starters arrived. Calamari and Prawns conjured up images of fresh seafood, but instead it appears they just went to Iceland freezers and bought a box of beige seafood. We had two kids with us. One ordered Turkey and was served beef. The other ordered chicken and we got pork, well actually it was some unidentified meat as both my wife and I would swear it was pork, but the chef stated it was chicken. Either way it was chewy and very salty and inedible. My wife paid extra for cauliflower cheese which came in a tiny side pot, and was quite clearly not cooked for the first time today/this week. It was soggy and limp and there was no sign of any cheese sauce. The roast potatoes were almost certainly out of a prepack. My burger again seemed straight out of the freezer and couldn't have been more bland."
