Lynne Bousfield
β OpenWelcome to Lynne Bousfield, a renowned establishment located in Wollongong, on Crown Street, 338-340. As a lawyer and a point of interest, Lynne Bousfield offers a unique approach to mindfulness practices, aimed at developing a practice-based understanding and transforming the mind. In the early 1970s, Lynne Bousfield, like many young Australians, embarked on a journey to seek a deeper meaning in life, beyond the challenges and hardships experienced personally and witnessed in others. It was during this time that she fortuitously discovered the power of meditation in reducing mental suffering, unlocking the mind's potential, and ultimately leading to happiness. Inspired by this revelation, she set out across Asia, eventually finding herself in BodhGaya, India, where she attended her first insight meditation retreat in 1975. Lynne continued her practice in India, often solitary, but also sought guidance from esteemed teachers in the lineage of Mahasi Sayadaw, such as Acharya Munindra, Ven Rastrapal, and Krishna Barua, upon returning to BodhGaya.
