Additionally, our dedicated team of volunteers is available to drive you to and from your hospital visits, providing much-needed support and assistance.

However, we cannot continue to deliver these vital services without your support. Your contribution is crucial in helping us provide comprehensive care to individuals affected by cancer and their families. Whether it's through donations or volunteering, we appreciate any assistance you can provide.

At the Cancer Society of NZ Inc (Otago Southland Division), we understand the importance of community involvement. We offer various fundraising opportunities, such as "You Can For Cancer," where you can create a fundraiser that suits your preferences. Additionally, our annual golf challenge, "The Longest Day," takes place in December and January, providing a fun and engaging way to support our cause.

Covering the lower South Island, our division has dedicated staff in various areas to ensure that we can reach and support as many individuals as possible. As the COVID-19 Protection Framework in New Zealand has ended, we continue to prioritize the safety and well-being of our clients. While mask requirements have been lifted, we encourage individuals to wear masks if they feel more comfortable or are experiencing upper respiratory infection symptoms. It is important to monitor our health, stay at home if unwell, and prioritize the well-being of our vulnerable community members.

For transportation services, masks will continue to be worn by our drivers and clients to ensure the safety of everyone involved. Our Supportive Care staff is available for face-to-face appointments, as well as through our Cancer Information Helpline and email. We also have various groups and programs running, with mask-wearing encouraged within our center or venue.
