Welcome to the Dunedin Immunisation Centre – Te Puna Āraimate ki Ōtepoti, located at 153 Hanover Street in Dunedin, New Zealand. As an establishment focused on health, we are a point of interest for individuals seeking COVID-19 testing, COVID-19 vaccination, and COVID-19 antiviral medicine (no prescription required).

At our centre, we offer rapid antigen tests (RATs) without the need for pre-ordering. Additionally, when collecting RATs, we provide free face masks (subject to availability). RAT tests and masks are available for collection during our vaccinating hours.

For PCR testing, we have a cabin located outside that operates from 9:30AM to 12:45PM daily. Free parking is available for your convenience.

It's important to note that we offer various vaccinations, including Pfizer, Novavax, MMR, Boostrix (Tdap), HPV, and flu vaccines for individuals eligible for government-funded vaccinations.

Please be aware that we are closed on public holidays such as King's Birthday, Matariki, Labour Day, Waitangi Day, Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Easter Monday, and ANZAC Day.

Our vaccination services have moved from Meridian Mall, and appointments are required for 6 months to 4 years vaccinations. You can book your appointment using the provided booking link or by calling 0800 28 29 26. Novavax vaccinations are provided from Monday to Friday, and appointments can be made via BookMyVaccine, although walk-ins are also accepted. Please remember to bring your prescription with you to your appointment. We recommend making an appointment at your general practice first to discuss suitability and obtain a prescription. This consultation and prescription are funded and should not incur any cost.

Getting a COVID-19 vaccine is a crucial step in protecting yourself, your kaumātua, and whānau from the effects of the virus. For more information on COVID-19 vaccines and eligibility, please visit the Ministry of Health - COVID-19 vaccines website.

Most routine vaccinations can now be administered before, after, or at the same time as your COVID-19 vaccinations. However, please note that a 7-day gap before or after receiving the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine is advised for the Zostavax (shingles) vaccine. If you have any questions, please discuss them with your health provider.
