We are pleased to announce that we now offer an urgent walk-in service for our registered patients. This service is available on Mondays from 9.00am to 4.00pm, and Tuesday through Friday from 8.30am to 4.00pm. Please keep in mind that if we reach capacity, we may need to close earlier.

If you are triaged by one of our experienced nurses and determined not to require a GP visit, we kindly ask that you respect their clinical decision. This walk-in service is specifically for urgent needs only.

Upon arrival, please inform our reception staff about the reason for your visit so that our nursing team can triage you accordingly based on the urgency of your condition. If your need is not urgent, our reception team will be happy to book you an appointment for another day.

For the safety of our patients and staff, if you are experiencing cold or flu symptoms, you will be required to undergo a RAT (Rapid Antigen Test) to ensure you are COVID-negative before being seen by our clinical team. Additionally, wearing a mask will be mandatory.

In the event that you are unable to visit our walk-in clinic but still wish to consult with a clinician, please inform our admin team when you call, and they will provide you with alternative options.

During your visit to our urgent walk-in service, a nurse will triage and assess you to determine if a GP visit is necessary. If you only see a nurse, you will be charged a standard nurse consultation fee plus a $5 surcharge. If you also require a GP consultation, you will be charged the appropriate GP consult fee (general medical fee or ACC fee) along with the $5 surcharge.

Please note that as this is an urgent care service, patients will be seen based on priority rather than the order of arrival. Our team will do their best to keep patients informed about possible wait times.

Established in the 1970s by Dr. Paul Stephens and Dr. Ian McCullough as a small family business, Cambridge Medical Centre has grown alongside the Cambridge community over the last 40 years. Today, our clinic is situated on a multi-functional site that also includes Pathology, Pharmacy, and Medical Imaging services.

Our modern centre is uniquely positioned to provide enrolled patients, visitors, and newly relocated individuals to the Cambridge community with a comprehensive and service-focused experience. We offer a range of general medical and urgent care services, as well as minor surgery and specialist nurse clinics.

In addition to our primary services, we also offer Practice Plus, a convenient platform that connects you to trusted medical care quickly. With Practice Plus, you can schedule a same-day after-hours virtual GP consultation that suits your needs. This service is available weekdays from 5pm to 10pm and weekends from 8am to 8pm.

To register with our practice, simply complete an enrolment form. Upon completion, we will request your medical history from your previous doctor with your permission, and you will be asked to sign a form for this purpose.
