Welcome to Busy Bees Cambridge, located in the beautiful city of Cambridge, New Zealand. Our institution is more than just a school; we are an establishment and point of interest dedicated to providing a unique and enriching education and care experience for your child.

One of the things that sets us apart is our spacious grounds, which allow us to offer a curriculum of nature-based learning. Rain or shine, our learning doesn't pack up and go inside. We believe that the great outdoors is the perfect classroom, and our children have the opportunity to engage with the natural world and its elements in authentic and exciting ways.

At Busy Bees Cambridge, we value every child and see them as unique and special. Our center revolves around child-led learning through play and exploration. We encourage our children to let their imaginations run wild, fostering creativity and critical thinking skills. Our big open play space provides ample room for our tamariki (children) to interact with the 'real world' and its wonders.

We also believe that animals have much to teach children, which is why we offer a wide variety of animal interactions. From ponies and ducks to birds and rabbits, our children have the opportunity to learn about and care for different animals. We also focus on horticulture, spending time gardening and growing plants and flowers. And for those who are interested, we even offer pony riding lessons!

Our institution is divided into four separate areas, each catering to different age groups. Ruma Kiwi is our infant area for children aged 3 months to 2 years, providing a nurturing environment for our littlest learners. Ruma Tui is a large and homely space for toddlers aged 2 to 3 years. Ruma Pukeko is for our intermediate group aged 3 to 4 years. And finally, Ruma Kereru focuses on preparing our 4 to 6-year-old tamariki for school readiness.

In addition to our educational programs, we also place a strong emphasis on nutrition and healthy eating habits. Our in-house cook prepares freshly made meals for the children each day, using menus and recipes based on the New Zealand Heart Foundation's Healthy Heart Award. We believe that nourishing food is essential for children to thrive physically and mentally, and mealtimes provide an opportunity for them to come together as a group and connect.

Our nature programs and swimming lessons further enhance our curriculum. Through child-led play and exploration, our children have the chance to develop a deep connection with the natural world. In summer, we offer swimming lessons to promote water confidence and safety.
