"“Not so careful movers” and extremely overpriced - thought we were paying extra for quality of service but clearly not! 3 clearly marked fragile items damaged badly, thank goodness we bought their overpriced insurance addon… Would suggest going elsewhere if you’re looking for a removal company."
"The only part that was good during my whole move was the sales lady who quoted my place apart from that it went all downhill. I had to chase them up as there communication on the day of the shift was below poor. Not a simple I'll he late message the half an hour away to 4 hours away is a big difference. There was nonresident my my property from the team. Their unprofessional behavior was next level walking around with tops off, smoking where they wanted . Ther eis no rehardsnto health and safety nearly touching the st power cables with the truck. Fro now I am dealing with insurance and that is not goinf well either 5 weeks and no response back. I have to claim a damafed TV and waiting to see if it gets approved but no one wants to help. Never use again"
"Janelle represented Allied in the first instance and was great. The pack up and pick up were seamless. Special mention to Karly managing the team in packing and VJ in the pickup phase. House contents arrived without incident or damage at our destination with promises made all being kept. William at our destination was charming where nothing was a problem. Every encounter with you team was positive and we thankyou. Cheers Jane and Mike"
"We booked Allied after a great inter island experience using them previously. This time a 5 minute move up the road withiin Christchurch was pretty disappointing. Initially at quote stage I explained our situation and the agent she recommended us booking and paying for pickup well in advance as availability may get limited. I did this, and was surprised a few days out from the move to be told that pickup and drop off were not on the same day and had needed to be booked separately. So we were without beds fridge, all our gear overnight (being 6months pregnant and with a 3 year old in tow this is less than ideal.) I understand now that I needed to book both pickup and drop off in their own right, but it seemed implicit and I don’t feel it was explained to us clearly at the time of quoting. The thing that bugged me most about this was the attitude of office staff as well as the agent. There was no “hey, we”re really sorry and understand where you’re coming from but…” , but instead excuses about their lack of staff, us having 3 flights of stairs, the size of our move, that I shouldn’t assume anything “in this business” etc. They basically made me feel like it was my problem with tones of passive aggression. In addition to this, after labelling our boxes to correspond to the rooms we were unpacking in so the movers could place them in the right place, most of the boxes have been stacked into a massive inaccessible wall in the garage. A real headache with library books, frying pans etc in some that we had assumed we would be able to access straight away. There are also boxes with fragile tape on them that are sitting at the bottom of a 3 box high stack. I understand perhaps some this stuff sliding if we”d hired a cheap man n van, but after paying $3500 to move 5 minutes up the road I just don’t think this is good enough."
"Forget AP's motto 'The careful movers' In a move from Nelson to Christchurch AP managed to damage 3 of the 5 antique cabinets I trusted them with. The company probably cannot get liability insurance, so suggested me to pay 500 dollar.more for insurance. Why should one need to pay so much for this routine transport? Incompetent Christchurch crew proved me wrong. Some broken-off fragments were found in the truck, but the rest just swept away and dumped. AP just added stress to the shift. Glad I transported most of my other antiques myself."
