Reviews
"It's now an education and activities centre, great for kids to visit and enjoy an arts and crafts session, and learning a bit about the local history. It would be even better to have some exhibitions catered for adults."
"very nice, athough tiny collection. Hopefully soon again in original size and variety"
"So sad that our original museum has had to close and find a new location. This "temporary" location on Ticket Road is great for the littlies and young at heart with information on the items too large to bring in, like Uenuku. Still informative and fun but on a small scale. Love draws. So much fun."
"Museum is not a museum. They only have reading and education material for students. They have non of their actual treasures on display due to a fire that happened. They also won't tell you what happened to the things or how and when they will let the public see them. They just hang up on honest people asking questions"
"Some beautiful and real quality Maori artefacts. Great presentation of information, The scale models of the area were interesting and loved the Soldiers Uniform and Woman's dress. Would have liked to see some more history relating to other aspects of this area though, like the farming. Is a small museum but still this was a worthwhile visit and free."
