Our institution offers community support in all areas of loss and grief. We understand that navigating through the pain of losing a loved one or coping with difficult circumstances can be overwhelming. Therefore, we provide subsidized counseling services to individuals, children, and families/whanau who are struggling with grief and loss.

Since 1987, Grief Support Services has been actively working within the community. Our location in Greerton, Tauranga allows us to serve the entire Western Bay of Plenty region. We strive to be a pillar of support and a source of comfort for those who are going through challenging times.

We warmly invite you to our safe space, where you can find hope, offer support, and connect with others who understand the profound grief that follows a loss to suicide. Our monthly groups held in Tauranga and Papamoa provide a supportive environment for individuals bereaved by suicide. Additionally, our WAVES program is an 8-week grief education group that aids adults in understanding and managing their grief, while developing resilience.

At Grief Support Services, we also have volunteers with lived experience of suicide bereavement who provide one-to-one support to others going through a similar journey. We offer counseling, support groups, training, and information for anyone affected by a loss to suicide or impacted by someone's suicidal behavior.
