Welcome to New Shoots Children's Centre - The Lakes, Tauranga! Located at 2 Flack Street, Pyes Pa, Tauranga, our establishment is a point of interest and a school that caters to the needs of young families in the ever-growing community of The Lakes.

As soon as children step through our doors, they feel a sense of home at New Shoots. Our centre is conveniently situated near the local school and surrounded by parks and walking trails, providing ample opportunities for exploration and outdoor activities.

Winner of the prestigious 2020 Waikato / Bay of Plenty Architectural Awards, our purpose-built centre features high ceilings, exposed timber beams, and a translucent roof strip, allowing natural light to flood our rooms. The custom-made child-friendly furniture and earthy aesthetic create a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Our outdoor area is a haven for children to connect with nature, with two sandpits, abundant greenery, and a spacious covered deck. The sense of family is strong at our centre, as children freely interact with teachers and move between spaces, fostering a close-knit community.

Our fees include nappies, meals, wet bags, bags, and hats/beanies, ensuring convenience for parents. Every day at New Shoots is seen as an opportunity for children to connect, thrive, and develop a lifelong love of learning.

Please note that we operate as a full-day service and do not offer short days or sessions. Our fees adhere to high-quality teacher ratios that exceed Ministry of Education standards. Minimum enrolment is two days per week, and a $50 enrolment fee is required to secure your place. Two weeks' notice is needed for enrolment termination.

If you have two or more children attending New Shoots full time, a 10% discount applies to your eldest child's fees. Nappies and food are provided, but please bring your own formula if necessary.
