Welcome to Busy Bees Katikati! Located on Main Road, our establishment is a point of interest and a school that is dedicated to providing a safe, nurturing, and challenging environment for all children.

At Busy Bees Katikati, we understand and appreciate the uniqueness of each child. We believe that every child is different and we strive to meet their individual needs. Our philosophy, "Ko te ahurei o te tamaiti, arahia ō tātou mahi," reflects our belief in tailoring our approach to each child.

Community involvement and cultural diversity are highly valued at our center. We actively engage our children in the community by organizing regular trips to the local park and library. We also participate in community events such as Matariki and teach the importance of taking care of our environment by picking up rubbish in our community.

Our School Readiness Programme is designed to prepare our 4-year-old children for the transition to primary school. This two-hour daily session focuses on early literacy and numeracy skills, as well as social and emotional well-being, independence, and self-confidence.

We take pride in providing freshly made meals for our children each day. Our in-house cook follows our Nourish menus and recipes, which are based on the New Zealand Heart Foundation Tohu Manawa Ora | Healthy Heart Award for Early Learning Centres. We believe that nourishing food is essential for the physical and mental well-being of our children, and it also promotes group bonding during mealtime.

For children up to 2 ½ years old, our Ponga Pepi Ruma provides a nurturing and safe environment. Our experienced teachers focus on supporting social, emotional, and physical development during this crucial stage of a child's life.

Piwakawaka Tamariki is our preschool room for children aged 2 ½ to 6 years old. Our program encourages curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning. Our experienced teachers facilitate play-based learning, allowing each child to explore and discover at their own pace.

We understand the significance and influence of the first five years of a child's life. That is why we strive to create an environment where children feel loved, supported, and encouraged to grow and develop.
