Our Be School Ready initiative is incorporated into everyday practice, helping children develop self-help skills and fostering independence in preparation for their next learning journey.

We understand the importance of keeping families updated on their child's progress. That's why we use Storypark, an online learning portfolio, to capture and share each child's learning journey and milestones. Through this platform, families can stay connected and involved, accessing photos, updates, and the ability to engage in one-on-one communication with our teachers.

Promoting healthy eating and physical activity is a priority for us at BestStart Tōtara Park. We are embarking on a Healthy Heart journey, aligning our menus and learning experiences to support nutritious choices and an active lifestyle. Nutritious meals are provided for all children, tailored to their specific developmental stages.

We offer 20 hours free for 3-5 year olds, as well as full-day options and WINZ subsidies if required. Our goal is to ensure that quality education and care are accessible to all families.
