"DONT SHOP HERE. It’s sad how much they’re charging for SECOND hand clothes now. They’re charging the same price as the normal stores where you get the clothes from. Use to be $5 for clothing now you won’t get anything cheaper that $20. Sad as this was a family store. Not coming back - lady at counter was very rude."
"Savemart has sadly changed so much over the years. They only accept cash now. I feel the pricing for the items donated to them are too high - especially for 2nd hand items. I understand they have rent, power, etc to pay but the reason people go to places like Savemart is to save money because they can't afford to purchase new items. Not having eftpos available is a bit of a letdown as not everyone carries cash on them these days. I did nit enjoy my last visit and unfortunately I'll not be going back"
"No longer a good experience, I'm sorry to say. As other reviews have noted, you can only take 3 items into the changing rooms, and there's nowhere to put items you've already selected. Today I went to the counter as I had 3 that I was probably going to get, and wanted to try on more. But the staff member wouldn't take them unless I was DEFINITELY going to get them. Saying '90% likely' wasn't good enough. I started to explain that I wanted to do a big shop and might weed out one or two items, them realised this isn't normal retail behaviour. The customer doesn't need to beg to be able to shop properly. In recent years, shopping here has become more and more difficult, restrictive and unfriendly. Yes, there's a good range, but prices are high for secondhand goods. Go somewhere that customers actually seem to be welcomed."
"If I could give zero stars I would. The staff are so rude to the point of aggression. I even saw one staff member getting extremely angry because a little toddler rung the bell while his mother was trying to juggle paying. As others have said the only three items rule is terrible, it would be fine if there was a hold rack but they will only hold your items if you verbally agree that you will definitely be buying them first. The rule states you can only take three items off the rack to try, then once you have finished you can only then look for your next three items to try. If you have more than three items they will make you walk around the shop and place them back on their racks. Ridiculously unsustainable in a shop of that size, especially where there is such a simple way around it like many other shops easily manage. Regardless the way the staff treat people is inexcusable, there really is no need to be that hostile."
"I spent half an hour looking for clothes. The change room says 3 items only and I had 5. The lady at the counter told me you can try 3 items only. I agreed and went back to the rack to decide which one to try. The lady came back to me and said I can’t hang clothes there. I told her I’m still thinking what to try and what not to. She was so rude and kept telling me to hang the 2 extra items where I took it from. She said I can only look for 3 items and try and go back and look again. I can’t have any extra item in my hand even though I won’t be trying them. There isn’t a rack to put your extra items that you want to buy but won’t be trying or even if you want to try later. I have never experienced such bad behaviour before and I don’t think their 3 item only makes sense. They don’t even deserve a single star and should get some education regarding their own policies."
