Judo Bendigo stands as one of the largest regional Judo centers in Australia, offering exceptional training programs for individuals of all levels, ranging from beginners to elite players, both young and old. With a rich history of producing state and national champions, we take pride in helping individuals from Bendigo and surrounding areas enhance their self-defense skills and overall fitness.

Our institution boasts excellent facilities, including a permanently laid Olympic-sized mat and well-equipped weight room facilities. These resources enable us to provide optimal training conditions for our members, ensuring they have the best chance of reaching their Judo goals.

At Judo Bendigo, we follow the primary belief of Prof. Jigoro Kano, the founder of Judo, who believed that Judo is more than just a martial art. We firmly believe that practicing Judo serves as a catalyst for self-improvement and positively impacts society as a whole. Regardless of age, race, religion, or background, we welcome everyone to join us in learning and practicing Judo as a means of personal growth and becoming the best versions of themselves. We fully support each student's individual goals, whatever they may be.

One of the founding principles we maintain in Judo is "Serikyoku Zenyo," which translates to "Maximum Efficient with Minimum Effort." This principle not only guides our approach to defeating opponents through technique and skill but also encourages the utilization of one's spiritual and physical energies in all endeavors. We strive to help our members make the best use of their body and mind, enabling them to achieve their intended purposes.

Our junior classes, suitable for children aged 5 and above, focus on developing the technical aspects of Judo. We provide club gi's for loan during each lesson to ensure all children have the necessary equipment. For advanced juniors and adults, our senior classes cover all areas of Judo, from basics to advanced techniques.

The cost for one Junior Judo class per week on Mondays or Thursdays, or participation in the stand-alone Advanced Junior program (if eligible), is $160 per term.
