"Kalianna is an amazing school. From the moment you enter the doors, you are greeted with incredibly happy, positive, inclusive vibes. The kids are happy, kind and respectful, and the staff are happy, kind and respectful. The buildings and classrooms are bright, decorated, and celebratory. The teachers genuinely believe the kids can succeed, and are hugely invested in their success. All staff are incredibly hands on: leadership and management are often seen in the canteen or making breakfast for the kids. There are hellos, and smiles and happy vibes all around! There's cooking, gardening, fun and upbeat assemblies and excursions: I couldn't speak more highly of this school. Kalianna demonstrates that kids learn best when they are happy, supported, guided gently, and where staff hold high expectations of them. I felt compelled to write this review months after I worked at Kalianna casually. I have since been working casually in Melbourne special schools and most of them do not hold a handle to Kalianna, and I've realised just how special a place it is."
