Shine Bright Axedale Kindergarten

Welcome to Shine Bright Axedale Kindergarten, located at 96 McIvor Highway in Axedale, Australia. As a point of interest and school, we pride ourselves on our strong ties to the local community and our role as active members and contributors.

At Axedale Kindergarten, we offer combined 3 and 4-year-old programs in three different groups: Platypus, Wombat, and Koala. Each group meets on specific days and times, providing a structured and engaging learning environment for your child.

Our dedicated educational team consists of Jessica, Lauren, Michelle, Simone, Jenny, Kathryn, and Carolyn. They are passionate about creating a foundation for learning and ensuring the best outcomes for your child, their families, and the community we live in.

We value the important influence that families and carers have on a child's life. By building trusting relationships with families, we enhance our understanding of each child's unique needs and provide better support for their wellbeing and learning journey.

Respect and inclusivity are at the core of our philosophy. We believe in respecting all people and cultures, ensuring that every child receives the same care and education regardless of their ability, gender, ethnicity, culture, or socio-economic background.

Our daily goals focus on empowering each child with respect, affection, acceptance, and self-confidence. We understand that children are unique and beautiful in their differences, and we adapt our program to their interests and strengths. We believe in providing role models for pro-social skills and accepting differences in others.

Regular assessment and evaluation are vital to celebrate and support each child's learning and development. Our program reflects the principles and practices outlined in the VEYLDF, Belonging, Being & Becoming, and the National Quality Framework.

Caring for the environment is also an important aspect of our curriculum. We teach and encourage sustainable practices to instill a respectful disposition towards the world in our children, helping to make it a better place to live.

At Axedale Kindergarten, our goal is to empower confident and competent children who have a joy for lifelong learning. We believe in the power of outdoor play and exploration, and we take our four-year-old group to the bush once a week. This experience allows them to develop problem-solving skills, self-exploration, decision making, and a deeper understanding of their natural world.

Shine Bright EYM, the organization behind Axedale Kindergarten, is a not-for-profit community-based organization that prioritizes the needs of children and families. We manage 36 kindergartens across Central and Northern Victoria, ensuring quality early childhood education for all.

We are affiliated with several esteemed organizations, including ACECQA, DET, VEYLDF, National EYL Framework, Early Childhood Australia, Play Australia, and Playgroup Victoria.
