Established in 1962, Riverside High School has earned an enviable reputation statewide, thanks to the accomplishments of our students in various academic, sporting, and cultural pursuits. Many of our former students have gone on to achieve great success in fields such as business, politics, education, performing arts, and sports.

Our dedicated and passionate teachers are committed to evidence-based teaching practices that ensure every student is engaged, challenged, and learning successfully. Collaborative planning and delivery of curriculum, guided by the Gradual Release Model and Riverside High School Quality Teaching Framework, guarantee that students have clear learning intentions and success criteria. The Leadership Team at Riverside High School communicates clear expectations regarding evidence-based teaching strategies and works closely with teachers to evaluate and improve teaching practices. We have an Assessment and Reporting Framework in place to guide the learning and achievement of all students.

Our school has recently completed a major redevelopment, featuring contemporary classrooms, specialist areas, a new Administrative Office, Library, and Café facility. The newly landscaped grounds and social spaces create a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable environment for our students.

We are thrilled to welcome you as a member of our school community. Term 1 starts on Wednesday, February 3, and ends on Thursday, March 31. Term 2 starts on Wednesday, April 21, and finishes on Friday, July 2. Term 3 begins on Tuesday, July 20, and concludes on Friday, September 24. Lastly, Term 4 starts on Monday, October 11, and ends on Thursday, December 16.
