"This is No longer hotel apartments it is total sold to individual people. Some of the apartments are rented out as holiday rentals the rest have tenants. Beware of the woman in number 19 evil nasty person."
"This place is the pits. Don't believe the pictures on Online booking sites. The place is very dated and needs a major upgrade. I wanted to cancel and the receptionists was not helpful. Gave me a number to call and just smiled adding to my frustration. Do yourself a favour, STAY AWAY from this joint. I did not get my money back. Stayed at another hotel. I have to give a star rating to post. so 1 start is 10 to many"
"Save your sanity, stay at the Best Western or the Sebel down the road! The rooms are older but are clean and large. Diane, the receptionist, was friendly and welcoming. The manager is not. Difficulty finding our front door through dark, dingy stairwells filled with spider webs and beer bottles jammed with cigarettes. Free wifi but staff don't know the password and once you figure it out, it is incredibly slow and not worth using. Value isn't great - quite expensive for what you receive. Major issue is safety. There is no 24 hour reception or on site presence after a certain time nor is there security. After an unsettling incident, we no longer felt safe. Side window could have easily been smashed and after the incident occurred, we realised the sliding door was not locked (due to housekeeping error). Do not stay here!"
"Checked Northlodge out, online, before staying there via a work booking. The comments weren't flattering, to say the least. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Rowie (and eventually her sister Judy(?)); such a cheerful character. She was adamant that if anything needed to be attended to, to let her know. Well, upon arrival at the room, some things DID need attending to: the ironing board and [non-existent] iron AND room phone all needed to be replaced and minor repair to the ensuite sliding door track. These were all attended to promptly by the VERY cheerful, helpful John. Nothing was too hard for him (them) - they really tried hard to be accommodating and it was revealed the previous owner ran the establishment into the ground and the new owners had only recently taken over the business. Sure, the rooms, decor and complex are dated, need work (I think most, if not all, of the bathrooms in the complex have been renovated and modernised) and the parking is tight and tiered (3-4 levels on the side of a steep hill), but for the price, if you're willing to give them a go and you're not fussy, you'll definitely be looked after!! Good luck, guys...all the best!!"
"The worst place I have ever stayed in. Dirty, bare light bulb in the lounge and stairwell. Stairwell had not been cleaned for years. Balcony was dangerous with railing very loose. Stove was dirty, apartment smelly. Newly renovated! What a joke, the bathrooms were done and not very well!. Normally an apartment has a washing machine and dryer, all we had was a laundry tub! Booked for two nights and had to move the second night and the second apartment was worse than the first. And yes that board is still under the lounge! Air-conditioning, two fans! What a joke."
