Please note that due to the building's elevated position, access from the car park is via stair access only, comprising approximately 25 stairs. Additionally, some rooms are located on the 1st floor and can only be accessed by stairs. Kindly be aware that our property does not have an elevator, ensuring a truly authentic experience in this historic mansion.

We understand that plans may change, which is why we offer free cancellation until 2 days prior to your arrival. However, if the cancellation occurs within 2 days of your scheduled arrival, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

"Was a nice cheap clean hotel if you can't do stairs it's not for you and parking with a big car was a bit tricky but close to everything and rooms were very comfy"
"Beautiful room and great price. Only negative for such a grand home a nice bed head or 4 poster bed would make the room so much nicer also rather than a 1990s spa bath a claw bath would suit style of home more just hope that owners don't keep modernising the inside . Furniture should deflect the period of the home and some of it does but some dosnt. Apart from that opinion I would definitely stay again. It's been our 2nd stay and just love the room."
"Our family of 4 recently stayed in the 3 bedroom apartment. The apartment was newly renovated, nicely decorated, clean and very quiet. It was lovely and spacious and nice to retun to after a day of siteseeing. We will definitely recommend staying at Waratah on York and will stay here again on future holidays to Launceston."
"A lovely historical place which was very clean and it was very hot while we were there and we were upstairs which had air conditioning, thank goodness. The only thing I might like them to add is a microwave, there was only a kettle so that was the only downside, otherwise the bed was very comfy and it was very clean."
"Great value. I would definitely stay here again. We stayed in the King Suite with Spa bath. It was very comfortable and lots of space. Cute little sunroom area to relax. The lady at reception that greeted us was very helpful, gave us a map of the area, and assisted us with dinner recommendations. The hotel is a perfect central location, parking was easy. Only con is there are a lot of stairs, so that might be hard if you have a lot of heavy luggage."
