About the Business
Welcome to Centenary Heights State High School, a premier establishment and point of interest located in Toowoomba City, Australia. Situated on Ramsay Street, our school is a renowned secondary school that offers a blend of vision and tradition.
At Centenary Heights State High School, we prioritize safety, respect, and learning as the foundations of our high-quality education. We believe that when students, parents, and staff show respect for themselves and each other in their daily interactions, a safe and supportive environment is created for optimal learning. As the principal, my focus is to ensure that this environment is maintained.
We firmly believe that who you are is inseparable from what you do. In the words of Johann Von Goethe, "The way you see people is the way you treat them - and the way you treat them is what they become." As teachers, we understand our role as second parents and value the importance of nurturing and supporting our students.
In addition to our commitment to safety and respect, we also recognize the importance of cultural diversity and inclusivity. To cater to our multicultural student population, we have translated over 600 school-based terms into five languages: Arabic, English, Kurdish Kurmanji, Portuguese, and Swahili. This ensures that all students feel valued and understood within our school community.
Centenary Heights State High School is not just a place of education, but a place where students can thrive and grow. With our dedicated staff, state-of-the-art facilities, and a wide range of extracurricular activities, we strive to provide a holistic education that prepares our students for a successful future.
Come and join us at Centenary Heights State High School, where vision and tradition combine to create an exceptional learning experience.

"The school makes fun of sped kids, literally like chucks them in their own area and yeah. I wanna go to downlands. Daddy cook cant principle well. All the good teachers have left. Take it from a current student, this place sucks, its gotten horrible. It was already bad to begin with but now its just awful. The only redeeming quality is the tuckshop and media department. Pay the extra money to send your kids to a better school. xoxo -Bombastic Slay Slay The Second"
"A once fine school that had been dedicated to outstanding learning outcomes. Lately dedicated only to appeasing every conceivable minority group and then some. The grovelling is sickening, with much of it based upon fantasy rather than fact. The indoctrination now takes precedence over any learning outcome. Our child withdrawn."
"too many hairs in the tuckshop food and not enough gluten free options ILL GUESS ILL JUST STARVE. but it can taste good"
"Discriminatory school! Don’t bother putting your kids through school if they have any mental health issues or disabilities (ADHD, depression, anxiety and learning disabilities especially). They will be bullied by staff and kicked out for not meeting standards. They kicked my disabled sister out for not meeting the NORMAL class standards and refused to place her in the classes that would have helped her. Threatened to kick out my brother with ADHD ( whom is now at a different school who actually understands these issues) and refused to even place me in the school with severe depression and anxiety. They only care about how they look in the state curricular system."
"I've placed both my kids through this school. Had no major issues. Both were/ are happy here. As ones graduated already and other still here. As parents, we've been happy with the school."
