Welcome to AAFCANS Tom's Cafe, located at Annandale, Robert Towns Boulevarde in Australia. We are a not-for-profit organization that has been supporting our soldiers and airmen/airwomen since 1915. As part of the Army and Air Force, we are dedicated to providing convenient access to quality food, beverages, and retail items while also supporting base welfare.

One of our recent achievements is the design and construction of a new mobile amenities vehicle, which has been a valuable addition to the Lavarack Barracks mobile amenities fleet. This vehicle project showcases our commitment to innovation and technology-driven service delivery.

In line with our strategic plan, we are constantly seeking ways to enhance our services. Our latest initiative, AAFCANS On-Demand, is a pilot online ordering and delivery service available at RAAF Base Amberley. This service aims to expand our amenities reach on Defence bases by providing food and retail delivery directly to our members.

At AAFCANS Tom's Cafe, we strive to create a comfortable and inviting space for our customers. In January 2020, we completely renovated the cafe interior to offer a modern and cozy atmosphere. The relaxed industrial-style ambiance, designer lighting, and reclaimed timber features perfectly complement our gourmet coffee, new tea range, and delicious food offerings. We have also added soft furnishings, casual home-style dining tables, and a 65-inch big screen for guests to enjoy while they savor their coffee or indulge in a snack.

We take pride in our partnerships with local businesses that share our values. One such partnership is with Beraldo Coffee, a veteran-owned coffee supplier based in Melbourne. Beraldo Coffee is distributed across all our coffee outlets on 26 ADF bases, and they also provide ongoing professional barista training for our cafe teams.

In addition to our cafe, we operate a diverse network of food services across 30 Army and Air Force bases and ADF facilities throughout Australia. Our facilities are designed specifically to meet the needs of our soldiers, airmen/airwomen, and base residents. This includes canteens, kiosks, a tavern, and a bistro.

We also offer a range of additional services on base, such as barbers, hairdressers, post offices, mechanical workshops, clothing retailers, dry cleaners, photographers, and banks. These services are provided on our behalf by licensed agents, ensuring convenience for our members.

By choosing to support AAFCANS, you are directly contributing to the welfare of your base. Our automated retail vending program disburses profits to Defence welfare funds on the bases where the profits were generated. We also invest any excess funds into facility improvements and services that benefit our Defence force and base community.
