"The cottages were perfect but the highlight for me were the beautiful grounds! I loved the chickens and farm animals and fruit trees. Also do not miss the great bakery 1 min down the road - Summer Kitchen. A great escape. We hope to be back soon."

"We stayed in the smaller cottage- beautiful, boutique and cosy with stunning countryside decor in a modern refurbished fit out. Electric heating kept us warm during the cold winter. The surrounding restaurant and gardens were also pretty and came with some cute chickens as well as other wildlife. The hosts were warm and generous with showing us around the historic site and providing good recommendations for where to eat and scenic drives. You get a great night sky in these parts too for Milky Way viewing. Excellent accomodation, highly recommend."

"My partner and I have stayed twice in the Paint Shed Cottage and loved it. Great location a short drive out of Hobart. The owners are lovely. The cottage was private, the bed very comfortable and warm, and it has a beautiful bathroom. We loved making a coffee in the kitchenette and enjoying it walking on the property grounds and down to the Mountain River. The stunning Oast House has a great restaurant in it too. Highly recommend."
