Welcome to Little Peoples Early Learning Centre - Horsley (Brooks Reach), a brand new and purpose-built institution located in Horsley, Australia. Situated at Escarpment Place, 40, our centre offers a picturesque country view, creating a serene and calming environment for your child's early learning journey.

At Little Peoples, we are dedicated to providing a safe, educational, and fun experience for children from as young as 6 weeks old. Our centre is open 52 weeks a year, only closing for Public Holidays, and offers extended opening hours to accommodate working families. We understand the importance of a smooth transition to school, which is why our program includes a comprehensive Transition to School Program. Our classrooms are equipped with age-appropriate resources, including computers and smart screens in our Preschool Rooms, to enhance your child's learning experience.

The well-being of our children is of utmost importance to us, which is why we have a shaded soft fall playground that is approved by the Cancer Council. This ensures that your child can enjoy outdoor playtime while being protected from the harsh Australian sun. My name is Amanda, and I am the Nominated Supervisor at our Brooks Reach Service. I have been a part of the Little Peoples family since 2009 when I completed my Certificate III Traineeship at our St Helens Park Service. Over the years, I have furthered my education through a Diploma and University, earning the promotion to Nominated Supervisor at Little Peoples Ingleburn in 2016. I now lead an experienced team of educators at our Brooks Reach Service.

Our team of educators is passionate about providing the best quality of care for your little ones. We strive to form and maintain meaningful relationships with our children, families, and the greater community. Our classrooms are designed to be child-centered, allowing children to self-guide their learning with the support of their peers, educators, and educational environment. We believe in the power of play and provide many experimental and social-driven experiences for children to learn, explore, and develop essential thinking strategies.

As an early childhood educator, I believe in giving every child an equal chance for quality education and a strong start in life. It is crucial for children to feel safe and supported in their home and educational environments, as this helps them grow and develop with confidence. Every child is unique and special in their own way, and it is my vision to help them thrive.

I am committed to creating programs based on the principles of respect, responsibility, and community. Through play, discovery, and exploration, we encourage children to explore, create, imagine, and take risks. As a leader, I strive to reflect these principles to my team of educators and embrace the values and ideas of our community. We believe that it takes a village to raise a child, and we are proud to be a part of your child's village here at Little Peoples.

We also prioritize healthy eating habits and proper nutrition for children. Our nutritional menu, provided by Kids Gourmet Food, incorporates the daily dietary requirements for children. The menu rotates every six weeks, exposing children to a wide range of flavors, textures, and ingredients. If your child has any special nutritional needs, food allergies, or sensitivities, please inform your centre supervisor. We maintain a 'nut & egg free' environment to ensure the safety and well-being of all children.

Our preschool program is a recipient of funding under the NSW Department of Education's Start Strong for Long Day Care 2023 program. This program aims to provide fee relief for preschoolers attending long day care. Additionally, families can benefit from the Child Care Subsidy (CCS), which is paid directly to services to help with the cost of child care. You can claim this subsidy using your Centrelink online account through myGov.
