About the Business
Welcome to Mount Vic Flicks, the premier movie theater and point of interest in Mount Victoria, Australia. Located at 2A Harley Avenue, our establishment offers a unique cinematic experience that is sure to captivate and entertain.
At Mount Vic Flicks, we pride ourselves on showcasing a diverse range of films that cater to all tastes and interests. From the latest releases to timeless classics, we have something for everyone. Our commitment to providing a memorable movie-going experience is evident in our carefully curated selection of films.
One of our current highlights is the latest film from visionary filmmaker Wes Anderson. Set in a fictional American desert town circa 1955, this movie takes audiences on a journey through world-changing events that disrupt a Junior Stargazer/Space Cadet convention. With moments of gentle humor and stunning cinematography, this film serves as an absorbing meditation on mortality.
In addition to this, we are also screening "Godland," a beautifully filmed movie set in the late 19th century. This Danish film follows a young priest as he travels to a remote part of Iceland to build a church and photograph its people. However, as he delves deeper into the unforgiving landscape, he finds himself straying from his purpose and questioning his mission and morality.
For those seeking a more introspective experience, we recommend "On the Wandering Paths." Based on the award-winning autobiography by Sylvain Tesson, this documentary tells the story of famed writer and explorer Pierre, who embarks on a journey to explore France on foot after suffering a terrible fall. It is a meditative tale of healing, resilience, and reconnection to nature and oneself.
If you're in the mood for a heartwarming drama, don't miss "Love by the Sea." This film follows the story of Howard, a retired sailor and widower, who finds love and forgiveness in unexpected ways when his daughter hires a caregiver for him. Through their interactions, Howard learns to open his heart and give love a final chance.
In addition to our regular film screenings, we are excited to announce the return of the Women's Adventure Film Tour. Now in its 7th season, this tour showcases seven inspiring short films that celebrate women who are doing extraordinary things in the name of adventure. Join us for an evening of empowerment and inspiration.
At Mount Vic Flicks, we believe in providing a safe and enjoyable experience for all our patrons. Our guide to classifications ensures that you can make informed choices about the films you watch. From General to Restricted, we offer a range of classifications that cater to different age groups.

Reviews
"Great movies, always new releases , sometimes ecclectic themes. Terrific atmosphere. Welcoming hosts/proprietors. And Choc tops for a treat. We are monthly customers at a minimum. Long may Mt. Vic Flicks be open."
"A lovely ambience with a great community feeling. A little kiosk with drinks and food available to consume during your movie. Chairs a little old, not very roomy but cushions and blankets available: I can understand our population has grown in size ( waist measurements) since this theatre was built which accounts for the relatively small seats. Overall a good experience not to be missed. Long live Mt Vic Flicks."
"Going back in time! Love every aspect of it . We enjoyed a great Saturday afternoon flick accompanied by delicious homemade soup, treats, and even homemade choc tops from a snack bar. A wonderful time out. Enjoyed by all!"
"An excellent movie theatre that has been placed inside the former Mount Victoria town hall. Easy location to access. Cafe located inside the hall. Great prices. Wonderful picture and sound. Excellent atmosphere. Wheelchair accessible. Plenty of places to park. Not far from the CBD and train station."
"Mount Vic Flicks is a must have experience. Step back in time to the 1930’s in this nostalgic cinema, but with the comforts of heating and cooling. This independent family run business show local and international movies. There’s a terrific old-fashioned snack bar with the usual chock tops and warm popcorn, but the hot homemade vegetarian soup is the best and a must have during those cooler winter months. There’s wheelchair access, toilets, and parking. We’re so lucky to have the privileged to experience this historic Blue Mountains icon and need the public to continue supporting this cinema for future generations to enjoy."
