Welcome to Port Kembla Community Preschool, part of Big Fat Smile, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to enriching the lives and minds of children and families in communities across Australia. Located on Military Road in Port Kembla, our preschool is just one of many centers we have in the Illawarra, Sydney, and South Coast regions.

Our Fun Clubs have become renowned for their exciting and engaging school holiday programs, leaving kids happy, inspired, and maybe a little tired at the end of each day.

At Big Fat Smile, we prioritize providing the best possible care and education for your child. Our staff-to-child ratios are carefully maintained, and our teachers and center staff are highly qualified. Enrollment for 2022 is now open, and we invite you to download our enrollment information pack by clicking on the link below. We have 26 community preschools across NSW, offering term care or long daycare for children aged 0-5 years.

As a parent of a child enrolled in one of our community preschools, you may be eligible for the Australian Government's Child Care Subsidy. Please refer to page 21 of our Parent Handbook for more details.

In addition to preschools, we also have 15 Fun Clubs that provide before and after school care, as well as school holiday care, for children aged 5-12 years. Our Fun Clubs offer a fun and creative curriculum, including activities such as drama, cooking, arts and crafts, photography, and dance.

For families and educators, our Include Me program delivers essential support to ensure children have the best possible start in life. When it's time for your child to transition to big school or early childhood education and care, we can guide you with practical support, community events, information, and current research.

We value quality and adhere to it in every aspect of our organization. Our values guide us from our head office to our educators in services. We believe in expanding children's palates, and our cooks and staff explore ways to introduce nutritious and delicious meals.

Outdoor play and learning are essential to us, and all our services offer outdoor areas for children to explore and discover. We believe that preparation for big school starts from day one, and all our preschools support and engage in local Transition to School programs.

We want to make your experience with us as convenient as possible. That's why we provide nappies and wipes in all our early learning and care services. We have 42 centers across NSW, ensuring that you can find the right center for your family's circumstances.
