Welcome to TROG Cancer Research, one of the largest cancer clinical trials groups in Australia and New Zealand. Located in Waratah, Edith Street, our institution has been dedicated to improving the lives of cancer patients for over three decades.

Through our extensive clinical trials, we have helped over 15,000 volunteer cancer patients by providing them with improved treatment options and a better quality of life. The prognosis for cancer patients has significantly improved over the years, with survival rates now reaching as high as 90% for certain cancers, compared to less than 50% in the 1980s.

At TROG Cancer Research, our focus is on radiation treatment and its effectiveness in treating various types of cancers. Our clinical trials have investigated the impact of radiation therapy on symptom management and palliative care, in addition to its efficacy in treating specific groups of cancers.

We have conducted successful trials and achieved positive outcomes for bladder, kidney, prostate, bone, brain, central nervous system, breast, gastrointestinal, gynaecological, lung, lymphoma, oesophageal, pancreatic, and skin cancers. Our research has contributed to a greater understanding of effective treatments for these cancers, both locally and globally.

Collaborating with hospitals, universities, and trial coordinating centers, our multidisciplinary radiation medicine research team is committed to advancing vital cancer research for the community. Our translational research initiatives have successfully incorporated laboratory and clinical findings into standard care, improving the treatment options for cancer patients.

Patient safety and radiation therapy protocol compliance are of utmost importance to us. Under the TROG Cancer Research Radiation Therapy Quality Assurance (RTQA) program, we rigorously monitor and ensure compliance in our clinical trials, providing patients with peace of mind.
